The diversity story is well discussed, and many companies are looking at ways to solve it, but it’s not that easy – on either sides of the recruitment story!

Over the years, working with and listening to our large membership, consisting of women and other minority groups, many returning after time out for caring for family members (young and old), all looking to get into or progress in the tech industry – we’ve heard it all, good and bad.

We are hosting a recruitment and ups-killing event where your company’s presence will showcase the fact that you are keen to diversify your workspace, demonstrate you are actively supporting local grass root groups (we do literally work for free) and tap into an often overlooked talent pool.

Whatever the reason – we simply do it because we want to support women and diverse groups as we believe that its a great industry to be in (otherwise we wouldn’t be here)

We know its not that easy on both sides of the recruitment story. We have lots of women and minorities looking at how to get into the industry, and many times return after time out for having families .. they are creating our next generation of tech workers in many cases, which is no mean feat! We also have women looking to move into other companies for better culture and support.
With women representing only ~24% (recent estimate from TechUK) of the tech workforce there’s a vast reservoir of untapped potential.
