Entry to Tech Bootcamp

Coding Black Females is a nonprofit organisation enabling more Black women to enter and progress in the tech industry. We are a tech community delivering events, mentor programmes and training opportunities (including bootcamps).

Coding Black Females

Since 2022, we’ve been delivering Skills Bootcamps in the South West including AWS re/Start for Cloud Computing and Entry to Tech for Software Development. 

Applications are currently open for Entry to Tech and we have 20 spaces available.

Here’s a breakdown of the information: 

Bootcamp commences:

July/August

Bootcamp length:

16 weeks (Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday)

Course Content:
  • Command Line & Git
  • Software Development Lifecycle
  • Java Basics
  • Software Design
  • APIs
  • SpringBoot
Eligibility:
  • Age: 19+
  • Locations: South West (Bristol, Bath, Gloucestershire, Somerset)
  • Open to: Ethnic minorities or underrepresented genders (we will accept all applications) – we have people from a variety of backgrounds on our courses
Roles:
  • CBF will support graduates to gain roles in the South West, applicants must be available to find a new technical role on completion of the bootcamp

How will learners benefit from our Skills Bootcamp? 

  • Free training in digital skills
  • Gain a CBF certificate and build your online profile
  • Support with meeting employers, and introduction to roles and interviews
  • Mentor and coaching support during and 3 months post-programme 
  • Continue to receive benefits if you are receiving Universal Credit or other work-related benefits such as JSA or ESA
